On the right side of the {{phpcms}} webpages you can find a box with the headline [http://sourceforge.net/projects/phpcms "phpCMS@SF"]. In this box you find direct links to pages at Sourceforge where you can report bugs, publish your patches or feature requests and much more.

Via the menu at the top of each webpage you can go to the [http://phpcms.de/links/index.de.html {{phpCMS}} link archive]. There you can add links to your {{phpCMS}} powered web sites to show other users what {{phpCMS}} is capable to do. In the link archive you can find as well sections, where you can add links if you're offereing {{phpCMS}} related services (as webdesign with {{phpCMS}}) or if you have a site containing any additional {{phpCMS}} related material like templates, plugins, tutorials etc.
Get annoyed writing out the same piece of text on multiple pages? You can create your own template on a sub-page of your user page:

* Add the link <nowiki>[[/TemplateName]]</nowiki> (where "TemplateName" is the name of your template) to your user page.

* Add the text of your template to this new sub-page.

* To add the template to a page, you simply have to add this code: <nowiki>{{subst:User:YourUserName/TemplateName}}</nowiki> (substituting your own user name and template page name).

For example, [[user:Steinsky]] has templates for textbook references:

Don't be afraid - every action in this wiki is reversable and can be undone, so you can't do anything wrong. Even if your contributions to the wiki aren't "100% perfect" it doesn't matter. Our ToDo Lists

Template:PhpCMS needs your help!

Template:PhpCMS is a non commercial project, licensed under the GNU Public License - which means that we, the Template:PhpCMS team, are spending a lot of time into Template:PhpCMS, just because it's fun and we like to create something useful for the community.

But you - the users - can help as well to improve Template:PhpCMS. In the last few month our documentation team did a great job to create a very useful Template:PhpCMS documentation. But even as a big part of the work is done, there's still a lot to do. And that's what we need you for. Please contribute to the Template:PhpCMS project by helping us and the other users, to improve the Template:PhpCMS documentation.

As we use a wiki for the documentation, everybody can contribute and add new information to the documentation. The nice thing on a wiki is, that you can't do anything wrong. Each modification can be undone, so you should be not afraid to do anything wrong.

Also feedback on bugs, feature requests or even self-written patches, plugins or templates to be used by other user are welcome. On the right side of the Template:Phpcms webpages you can find a box with the headline "phpCMS@SF". In this box you find direct links to pages at Sourceforge where you can report bugs, publish your patches or feature requests and much more.

Via the menu at the top of each webpage you can go to the Template:PhpCMS link archive. There you can add links to your Template:PhpCMS powered web sites to show other users what Template:PhpCMS is capable to do. In the link archive you can find as well sections, where you can add links if you're offereing Template:PhpCMS related services (as webdesign with Template:PhpCMS) or if you have a site containing any additional Template:PhpCMS related material like templates, plugins, tutorials etc.

How to contribute

Don't be afraid - every action in this wiki is reversable and can be undone, so you can't do anything wrong. Even if your contributions to the wiki aren't "100% perfect" it doesn't matter. Other users or members of the Template:Phpcms team will likely correct [them] so every bit of contribution is welcome.

The first steps

 • We ask everybody who wants to help us to register at this wiki (this can be easily done on the login-screen). You don't have to ask anybody - just do it!
 • Make yourself familiar with this wiki. If you didn't work with Wikis yet, look at the Help Section or make some first tries in the Sandbox. Questions on contents can be discussed on the according 'discussion' pages, questions about the wiki itself should be discussed on this page.

The second steps

 • Make yourself familiar with the Writing Guidelines (page under construction!) to ensure a consistent style in this documentation.
 • Look at the Requested Translations page to find pages needing translation. Simply replace the german content on that pages by its english translation.
 • Feel free to enter new content on Requested Articles that haven't been created yet.
 • The General ToDo List contains additional taks to be done by someone.
 • From time to time someone should have a look at The list of uncategorized pages and sort them into the correct category

Attention:

Make sure all new pages..

 • .. are listed on the according MainPage. For example the User Documentation MainPage for new pages in the User docu.
 • .. have a navigation (using the navigational templates from this help page)
 • .. have a link to the same page in other languages if available (mostly the FAQ Entries or MiniHowTos). Check the Templates help page for the appropriate template
 • .. belong to at least one category - currently it suffices to use the main category (see also: Help:Categories)
