'''Judith Butler''' (b. [[February 24]] [[1956]]) is a prominent [[post-structuralist]] philosopher and has made major contributions to [[feminism]], [[queer theory]], [[political philosophy]] and [[ethics]]. She is Maxine Eliot professor in the Departments of [[Rhetoric]] and [[Comparative Literature]] at the [[University of California, Berkeley]].
