There probably exists in the mental life of the individual not only what he has experienced himself, but also what he brought with him at birth, fragments of phylogenetic origin, an archaic heritage .... The archaic heritage of mankind includes not only dispositions, but also ideational contents, memory traces of the experiences of former generations.[1]
