In this talk Alenka Zupančič, who is a world-renowned Slovenian philosopher and theorist of Lacanian psychoanalysis, discusses the concept of the ‘human animal’ in relationship to the works of Jacques Lacan, Jacques Derrida, Sigmund Freud, Immanuel Kant, Alain Badiou, etc., and partly in response to The Human Animal in Politics, Science, and Psychoanalysis project at the Institute for Contemporary Art in Berlin.
