Donald Woods Winnicot. British child psychiatrist and psychoanalyst, greatly influenced by Melanie Klein and associated with the object-relations school.

Winnicot liked to emphasize the importance of the faciliating environment provided by good enough' mothering by remarking that there is no such thing as a byby.
